In short: THIS IS NOT FLATT!!
In full: At about mile 5 I was still looking for the flat part - however the race itself was nice enough once it got off the main road where BMW and white van drivers apparently considered us a menace. What happened to the water stations? There was no water ready at either as I passed and who bulk ordered the XL t-shirts - I don't think t-shirt dresses are in fashion anymore. Otherwise nice goody bag and nice organisation.

In short: Although not steep the undulations get to you
In full: Not my best race performance! but I enjoyed the last mile running hell for leather towards the M25 is a strange experience. I was niggled that by the time I finished there were no bananas & my hubby had quite a few more things in his goody bag. Why do us slow uns always get the raw deal? Well signposted & marshalled, thanks to the policeman who stopped the traffic for me & the St Johns ambulance who were doing a good job. I will be back next year

In short: Great race. Very friendly atmosphere.
In full: I loved this from start to finish. Turned out a bit less flat than I was expecting, but the same for everyone. LOVED the band, great marshalls, nice welcome in the club both before and after. Hard run but I'll be back.

In short: This is a great RACE not just a run - book now for 2006! - I am not related to organisers!
In full: At 9 miles this is a chance to RACE for slow joggers (like me) over a challenging distance which is not a half (too far) marathon or a (too short) 10k! there are parts when you had to hold back due to the traffic, not to mention the steam locomtive - a nice touch for burning lungs at 7 miles. But who ever told me this was flat clearly has not run the same course. Good crowd all way around but dodgy band at finish. Next year bigger Mars bar please. thanks to Paddy for the lift home.

In short: Marashals- fantastic. You did a great job and offered encourangement when it was needed. Well done.
In full: Well, enjoyed the race but please, this is NOT a flat race. It's not quite the Himilayas but it is playfully uphill in places (although the last mile down hill was an absoulte treat!). It was a bit difficult along the main road to Amersham where you had to fight traffic for right of way to overtake runners and I admit at this point I was glad of my ipod to keep off the noise. But well done to the organisers and I look forward to trying to improve my time in 2006.

In short: Good solid run, nice course
In full: First time I have run this race and I did enjoy myslef. Only thing that let it down was the first water point - had to queue to get a glass of water.

In short: My favourite race
In full: This is my all time favourite race. Lovely scenery, nice cup of tea in the club beforehand and a chance to read the Sunday papers. It's a really friendly and relaxed race and I got a PB!

...and don't you just love that final 1 mile to the finish; downhill all the way.

Thanks to the marshalls [and the police] and the band, for making this a truly memorable race.
