In short: Lovely course, very friendly atmosphere and well marshalled
In full: A great mainly off-road course. The section around Uffmoor woods was really enjoyable and relaxed, through the fields was a bit rutted under foot which tested the already tired legs on the return journey! The downhill along the road allowed the legs to recover before the really cruel last uphill to the finish line. Organisation was great, well signposted and encouraging marshalls. All the runners seemed really friendly, even though there were many club runners there was a welcoming atmosphere to all. Very easy to get to from M6/M5 area so give it a go next year - but not for a PB with this terrain!

In short: Hills, Hills and more Hills
In full: Oh my god, that has to be the hardest 10K run I have done yet. I thought I pushed myself in training picking with runs with lots of hills but it was nothing compared to what I had to go through on this race. This race was extremely challenging with people being sick at the end after they had given everything. Definitely a test of your will power to keep going.

In short: Beautiful surroundings and an interesting route with a sting in the tail. Good race for new and experienced runners. Recommended.

In short: Good race - The only thing I din't like wasthe pavement along the A456 - the rest was a great course
In full: It wasn't flat but gradual assents and descents. It could be muddy in the woods but bone dry today.

In short: Challenging first 10k
In full: This was my first 10k as part of Great North Run training and my worries about coming last and/or getting lost were unfounded. Marshalls were in all the right places and tape was used in any place there was a possibility of going wrong. I ran at my own steady pace fairly near the back by myself for most of the way round but never felt like I shouldn't be in the race and my ipod kept me company. Most runners seemed to be club runners but there were a few slower runners - enough to make me feel like I wasn't out of place with my 65 mins.

In short: Hilly , Hilly and a little hill at the end!!
In full: A fantasic race, through beuaiful woodland and rolling farmland. Hilly in places but a great challenge, very friendly with a useful momento (trainer bag) and plenty of friendly marshalls.

In short: ouch my knee!
In full: Despite a tumble in the woods, a great run with beautiful West Midlands scenery and enthusiastic marshalls. Thanks to all at Halesowen Athletics club
