In short: It was far too hot!!
In full: As I ran this the week after the Black Death it seemed like an especially easy run, with very minor hills!! Scenic and an interesting route, the stiles, pond and river mixed it up a bit and made it a good fun route. Hills not too steep or high, so good for beginner considering first proper off-roader. That said however it was very challenging on the ankles as the ground was hard and full of small holes to trip you up, so practice off road first!! As I said if I hadn't just run the Black Death I may have thought this course harder but in comparison to the Black Death, the Cowpat Canter was a walk in the park!

In short: This race has style(s)!
In full: The route follows a devious course through fields, woods and farmyards, through a pond and up a stream with plenty of ups and downs, although none are prolonged or very severe. It is well marked with friendly & encouraging marshalls along the route and there is a water stop at about half way. This was a really enjoyable race run in lovely weather and with a real family atmosphere. At the finish, a commentator on the PA shouts out your name as you cross the line - how cool is that?

In short: Hills, more hills, Pond with plastic ducks, stream, farmyard, woods, bluebells, wild garlic. Loads of marshals and well marked route. Excellent
In full: A tough 10k, the only downside was queueing at the stiles. Come to think of it though it gave you a chance to rest and to admire the view.
Friendly, well organised, and a nice mug at the end. Good showers too. Excellent value for money.

In short: Brilliant Day
In full: A really challenging race, up/down/through fields, over stiles, through mud then a pond, and down a stream.

Then a corker of a hill to finish it all off.

Marshalls were friendly, in fact it was a really friendly atmosphere.

I'll be back next year!
