In short: Well established event in the racing year - supportive marshals.
In full: I am not really sure that I enjoyed it this year, but it was so warm that I doubt if I would have enjoyed anything except sitting in a cold bath! There were times during the run when we passed by water and I thought very seriously about jumping in. It was very hot, and this made it particularly difficult today. There was extra water available towards the end which was very welcome, and in some parts of the event there was a breeze. Times for those of us at the back were slower than usual, but at least we were out there doing it. The fields were great with so many wild flowers around. Good event, supportive, great atmosphere. Thanks to all for their hard work. A little expensive, but profit goes to the hospice, and there is a good goody bag.
