In short: A lot more undulating than I thought!
In full: This is an undulating course. It hasn't got the steepness of the hills in Guy Fawkes 10, but they are constant. Very friendly marshalls and great rucksack at the end. Only thing was that the children's race was held at the same time as the adult one so I oculdn't watch my little one running.

In short: excellent commentary at the finish!
In full: The first 5-6 miles were ok - lulled you into a false sense of security and then some challenging inclines rather than sharp sudden hills but some did drag on.
Well marshalled and overall organisation v good. Really liked the commentary at the finish line " come on, come on, sprint finish, only 5 months to Christmas" - "Come on, you re in the top 500, only just!"

In short: V tough for a new runner but great fun
In full: Having never run more than 10k before I got a bit of a wake up call, especially with the hilly nature of the course, but I got round in one piece and had a great time. Brilliant rucksack at the end and the friendliness of the two runners from Tadcaster made a new runner like me feel wanted

In short: Very good race
In full: Very good organisation, great course with a few challenging hills. Great rucksack at the end, liked that as different to the usual medals and t-shirts. Only minor gripe, not enough loos, cost me sometime on the course as has to stop!!!! Will def do this again.

In short: Flat/undulating? YEAH RIGHT!!
In full: Blimey, tough course. And I live in Sheffield!!!! Few problems with the toilets at the start and the mile markers weren't very accurate but they were minor things. Superb marshalling, interesting course and really impressed with the little rucksack instead of a cack t-shirt like I usually get! I managed a PB but only cos I've never done a flat 10 miler and I'm in good shape. :-)

In short: hard work
In full: 1st time have done this race, found it hard in places, but enjoyed it. Need to get some hill training in- its undulating in a Yorkshire way.
Nice one

In short: Well organised & pleasant surroundings.
In full: Only my second ever race (first one being the Sheffield Half Marathon). A little tougher than i expected (in places), but that's because i went at a much quicker pace than i am used to in training. Very well organised in general, though the guy at the start line would have benefitted from using a megaphone.
