In short: Very pretty, quick race
In full: Having missed out on the 2009 Royal Parks Half, I'm gutted! This was a fab race last year, very special route. Atmosphere wasn't bad either. Good organsiation for its first time, with minimum fuss.

In short: Maybe it was the sunshine, but it was perfect!
In full: Excellent organisation from the Royal Parks Foundation, great atmosphere, emphasis on beginners and charity fundraising, and the food! Oh the food! I loved every second of it. Only criticism is the lack of toilets before the event (the queues were bad).

In short: First half-marathon , loved it,inspired to do more
In full: I really enjoyed the whole event. From arriving and chatting to other first time runners raising money for so many great causes; to the finish where I did feel a sense of personal achievement. I only started running in April.I did a 5k race and a 6 mile race in the build up. The rest of my training was plodding on local roads. But had never done more than 11 miles before the Royal Parks. My left knee prevented me from running for the last 2 weeks prior to the run and ceased up again as soon as I finished. It was my 43rd birthday. Was 2 hours 18 minutes a respectable time.? Could someone let me know? I know I was the only runner for The National Rheumatoid Arthritis Society, I was proud to run in memory of Gillian Nova Thomas for a special friend. The organisation/stewards/supporters and every single runner made it an outstanding day for me.Having gone through bereavement/divorce/career change in a short space of time I have found running uplifting and this race was amazing.Lack of toilets did not trouble me as I had stocked up on immodium to overcome the recurring problem I encountered while doing long training runs.Sorry it took so long to post my review...wanted to think about what to say.
....I am such a dafty I arrived in London on the Saturday with only 1 running shoe; had to hop on a train back to Newbury and then come back again with the missing shoe. But for me that is now part of a wonderful weekend I will not forget.
