In short: A nice race that's worth supporting
In full: I ran in the 7.5 mile race and it was a very nice start to my week's holiday in the area. A nice race for those who don't like masses of runners.

In short: Good fun, nice people. Only problem I found was that the numbers, maps etc weren't posted out prior to race.

In short: Quiet race, pretty flat, good for beginners
In full: 7.5 mile is a nice step up from 10k/6 mile, and with the full 15 mile race continuing for a second lap there are no fears about the marshals having packed up and gone home by the time you stumble in! Pretty flat course, a few gentle undulations with the most significant incline (not really a hill!) about 1 mile from the finish. You are warned that the half-race is actually over 7.5 miles, but they don't tell you by how much - reckoned at more like 7.7-7.8. Good support/encouragement from marshals throughout.

In short: Lovely day for a run and good atmosphere on the first lap few runners did the 15miler (100 or so) so was quiet and lacking during that bit. No secure baggage storage but otherwise marshalls and team were friendly and helpful. All in all a good one.

In short: Excellent 2 lap course lovely countryisde with enough minor climbs to make you work for it.
In full: This has been my best run this year. The organsistion was straightforward and facilities good. Very very friendly people on course and off - with lots of encouragement.
Water in all the right places. Some minor climbs that give just the right amount of challenge - no purgatory.

Reulsts available on line inside 4 hours!!
