In short: An awesome, local half-marathon with definite PB potential - give it a go next year!

In short: Worth getting out of bed for
In full: This was my first ever race so I've nothing to compare it to. Organisation seemed very good - parking was near the start line, and I didn't have to queue for my chip. Didn't seem to be enough toilets, and there were still queues when the race started. First section through town centre and housing estate fairly uninspiring, nice middle section through some (closed to traffic) country lanes, then an incline along the main road back into town. Water stations were good, and support along the town sections was friendly. Nice medal, but where was the goody bag? At the very least I would have expected some chocolate as a reward, yet instead was faced with a 'children's lunchbox' fruit bar...and that was it!! I'll probably do this one again next year though as it's very local for me.

In short: 100% than 2 years ago!
In full: Did this race 2 yrs ago - which I must say 2:09 didnot organise very well at all!!! This time - they got nearly everything right! I really enjoyed this race - the scenery was far better, some of the lanes were closed to traffic this time (weaving around traffic is not good!). The only problem I had was at the end - where was the recovery drink / food?? At least a banana could have been provided or even a recovery shake! The school bar was not appealing - this is what I give my 7 & 5 yr old for school!! Not asking for a goodie bag as these annoy me with the junk in them - but better recovery provisions next year, please. Will certainly be back!!

In short: Great race for all levels of experience
In full: I ran this race for the second year and thoroughly enjoyed it once again. The organisation was excellent, atmospshere great and the race was well supported by the good people of Tewkesbury. This was my twelth half marathon and I broke my personal best by 2 minutes, so I was very pleased. All in all a great day out and well recommended.

In short: First half-marathon so nothing to compare against. For a 60+ beginner thought this was a pretty easy course and got round comfortably, but where was my goody bag? All that was left at 2 hours 15 was a bottle of water and an inedible chewy bar.

In short: Enjoyed it very much!
In full: This is my second Tewkesbury Half after a five year gap. The organisation was very good at both the start and finish. The only downsides were the queues for the toilets and the traffic, oh the traffic! I live in Tewkesbury and it's never that busy on a Sunday morning usually!
