In short: Liked the course, which made good use of Harlow's cycle paths. The Marshalls were great and the track finish inside the stadium was a nice feature. Managed to go sub 70 mins for the first time in ages, despite the warm weather - well pleased! Date of review: August 9, 2005

In short: I did not see a distance marker until completing 3 miles - real pain! In full: Excellent facilities. Encouraging Marshalls. Mile markers were hidden or non existant - big negative for me. Date of review: August 8, 2005

In short: Good fast course with excellent friendly marshalling In full: The last time I ran the Harlow 10 was six years ago and it was baking hot in a concrete jungle! This year's race was extremely pleasant. A lot of other organisers could learn from the smooth organisation - registration, baggage handling, start, marshalling and the finish. In addition, all the people involved were really friendly and very helpful. Many thanks to Harlow Running Club and all their volunteers. Date of review: August 8, 2005

In short: Superbly organised, a few ups and downs but nothing too strenous and pleanty of water/sponge stops. Great day for my first 10 miler! In full: Nice enough scenery though goes through a few housing estates. Mostly on cycles paths. Can't really say if it's PB potential as it ws my first time beyond 10km. Very happy to have made it round without stopping and very pleased to have got in in 1.27.15 - well under my target. Date of review: August 7, 2005

In short: Excellent organisation and marshalling, wasn't expecting so many upward undulations though, not as easy as they make out! In full: Not a bad race, the marshalling was top notch, negotiating the road crossings was made easy and safe. Heard that generally the course was flat and a PB potential, don't let them kid you! Apart from the last mile and an odd break here and there, everything seemed uphill, not monstrous but long, gradual and painful. Date of review: August 7, 2005
