In short: A little bit like a wind tunnel, but at a low setting and hitting you from the side.
In full: As my very first half-marathon I loved this race, and didn't find completing the 13 miles(approx.) too tricky. That said, there were some disconcerting points where stragglers would be confronted with quicker runners heading in the opposite direction.
Apart from the enormous cliff near the end of the course the route was pretty much flat or downhill. Indeed the hairiest moment for myself was being unable to control my speed, as I ran back down to the beach from the top of the cliff. Thankfully I didn't crash into anybody else, nor sent myself sprawling towards the nearest A&E.

In short: Far too expensive and discriminates against average club runners

In short: The messenger from Marathon is only half dead !
In full: Lovely weather and beautiful scenery made this less gruelling but at 10 miles you head for the finish..... and then head in the opposite direction, up a cliff ! Funny ? NOT.

In short: Reasonable value
In full: This was, all in all, a good race. Much has been said of the lack of the first three mile markers, the toilets etc. The route was great until the last four miles and the stupid switchbacks!!!

In short: A really good race for those preparing for FLM although not sure about the last couple of miles with nice incline and even some steps thrown in.

In short: Pleasant enough course. I agree with some of the organisation points, but nothing that can't be sorted for next year.

In short: Could do better
In full: Got there early so didn't experience the toilet problems personally but they were there for all to see with 10mins to start - terrible. Good run along the coast could have done with out the steeper cliff then short sharp run downhill with 2 miles to go. would do it again if only to run in the proper distance if it really was 13.44 as according to other reviews on here.
