In short: Overall... ok.
In full: I know the area well, but even I got lost trying to find the car park as the signage was terrible. The marshalls at the start couldn't be heard as they had no PA system or megaphone. No mile markers meant you didn't know how far there was left to go!

I set a PB though which I was happy about until I read other reviews commenting that it seemed short!

Many thanks to the marshalls and organisers giving up there time on a FREEZING cold morning :)

In short: Next time i'll just run around the forest on my own
In full: As other people before me have mentioned the barrier i think it goes without saying, but getting clubbed over the head as i went under it by a size 12 shoe is not my idea of organisation or safety. No mile markers or statements to say you were at the end to go for that PB push. Scenery was fab but thats the pleasure of the area and is not enough to let the organisers off their poor efforts.
Having said that the worry of mild concussion aside the female helper at the point where the race hairpinned was fab. Timings are completely off in this race due to the terrible start but a good way to see in the new year if you need the motivation!

In short: An enjoyable race. Pretty flat for a trail race (not a criticism) with the odd hill to keep you warm. I haven’t got a GPS system, but I suspect it’s a little shy of a full 10k. Great location, especially in the snow.

In short: Blimey, that was hard...
In full: A lot harder then i expected, but then 2 weeks of unhealthy living probably didn't help. As people have said, distance markers would have been nice, and the barrier at the start was a bit bizarre, but apart from that a really good race.
Incidentally, did anybody GPS it? Was it really 6 miles dead?

In short: Some Minor problems, but overall a good race, that I would do again.,
In full: There were some problems,
1, Signs for the car park
2, Mile Markers,
3, The Barrier thing at the start,

The momento, was pretty craptacular. But having said that some positives,

1, Lovely location,
2, Cheery Marshalls
3, Its close to home,

Will do it again as its pretty close to home and a good way to start the year, some proper snow would have been nice

Thanks to the organisers, and the marshalls, it was a cold day to stand about in.

In short: Ejoyable rop through the forst on a Sunday morning.
In full: It was like the fairies had scattered a layer of pixie dust on the trees and ground. It was cold! Good, fun race. Weird corralling at the start with the barrier though! Thanks to the organisers for a good race.
