In short: A treat!
In full: Well, this was my very first race and I am really glad I picked the Leatherhead 10 for that special day! We were lucky with the weather (started raining just *after* the race), it was very well organised, lots of people cheering, a varied landscape with challenging hills to prevent boredom, and to top it all some gorgeous-tasting cakes at the end of it. Thank you and well done!

In short: Great 10k race
In full: Found first 4K uphill slog tough going (due to lack of hill training). last 6K a joy to run. Superb scenery, well organised, nice medal. Finish line a bit messy (queues for medal and chip removal in the way of fiinishers), otherwise an excellent race, will be back next year.

In short: Great atmosphere, great cakes, nuf said!
In full: Everything about this race makes it unmissable and the atmosphere in the station before the start gives it a real buzz. The route is so varied it never gets boring, it's well organised and marshalled with the traffic being happy to stop (blue lights come in handy) although I was surprised that the last road crossing was a do-it-yourself affair but perhaps I crossed at the wrong point, anyway it kept it interesting. I did a PW but didn't care as I enjoyed it so much. I've saved the best until last - the Cakes.

In short: As this was my first 10k race, I was surprised at how much I enjoyed it and how much of a buzz the event was. Was nervous about the first 4k uphill but found it OK and it was no time at all before we were all steaming downhill.

In short: One for next year's diary - must do race!
In full: My local race (live in Fetcham) and my local training circuit so it was great to be with so many other runners. After a congested start exiting the fire station I took it abit too easy on the two hills leading to the "summit" at 4k. But the hard work was done then a nice quick finish that should give all runners a negative split for the second half of the race. Well organised and even though I do not have a sweet tooth, I also found the cakes too tempting to miss. Only issues I would pass to the organisers is the finish at the leisure centre could have done with better marshalling to get across the last road, which we had to do ourselves by dodging the traffic, and the medal did not have any race detail on it. But for £12 and raising money for good causes I'll get it engraved. This is my PB course, but the slow start meant I missed out by 1 minute - but this is a surprisingly quick course considering the first 4k of climbs! Well done to all involved. This race will soon reach the capacity of 600, reading the good feedback from first timers!

In short: Good fun - the view at the top makes the up hill worth while
In full: Good fun race - very organised, good marshalling especially at roundabouts. Enjoyed the fun little comments on the distance markers - its a nice touch.

In short: Excellent
In full: Many thanks to everyone at the fire station for organising another excellent event. Despite the rather worrying fact that my times get slower year by year, I'll be back.
