In short: Great fun splashing through muddy puddles. Hailstones a bit much though!
In full: Good fun but could have been more information about the distance from the car park to the start and could have done with nice warm tea in the mugs after having to wait in the cold to get them.

In short: I also loved this muddy, wet route - the weather improved it!
In full: As said already , a warning of 10 min walk to start would help it start on time. Chips not really necessary for a race like this are they?? I was glad I didn't bring a spectator, but thank the marshals very much for standing in the rain and handing mugs out at end.

In short: Lovely scenary, lovely mud, lots of rain and some hail
In full: I've done a lot of 10Ks on roads, but this was my first race entirely off-road. It was great. A fantastic twisty course that completely disorientated you, and had plenty of undulations combined with much mud to keep it challenging. I will certainly do it again. I quite enjoyed the remote start/finish, as it gave you a chance to see what conditions were going to be like on the run, but I could see spectators with children in buggies struggling. The marshalls were greatly supportive despite the weather.

In short: Friendly and well organised. Needed more distance markers. Shame about the weather. Would be a great run for spring or early autumn

In short: Too far from the car park!!
In full: Ridiculous distance from car park to start line across mud and soggy heathland - not really suitable for spectators, particuarly children!! Poor weather obviously can't be helped but this did make the race particularly sodden and a bit like a steeplechase in parts! Only 3 km markers on route which is poor. Race was late to start as people still getting chips - why weren't these sent out prior to race?! Also no warning in pre race info about walk from car park to start line to pick up chips then back again to car park to get ready, use loos and then back to car park?!?!
