In short: Superb trail event with friendly atmosphere
In full: The route is sufficiently undulating to be challenging yet still accessible to all abilities. Event was very well organised however due to huge increase in numbers from 2009 the event start was delayed. Winners bags a very nice bonus to a cracking event.

In short: A nice slightly challenging Trial race
In full: I am one of the doggy runners - the one who started at the front because my dog always starts fast. Had a good chat with the other runners, a lot I have encountered in other races, and enjoyed the race immensly. Did I have an advantage, OVER WHAT - we are not racing in any category so we are not racing non dog runners, wish people would not make stuped comments on things they know nothing about - Pity I had to stop to let my dog have a drink. I run for personal satisfaction, if I did not have my dog I would not be running. Thanks to the organisers, you did a great job. Personally I don't care if it was not exactly 10Km, I was knackered anyhow.

In short: Lovely run with challenging terrain - a good change from pounding pavements
In full: I really enjoyed this run - it was muddy and sandy making the going tough but that's what trail runs are all about. I was a little miffed that the course wasn't 10km - I just found it a little odd that it wasn't the exact distance. The dogs didn't bother me but a girl in front of me almost got tripped up. Having them start first does make sense. It was hard enough trying to stay on your feet in all that mud. Nice t-shirt and plenty of water at the end.

In short: A pleasant change from road races
In full: A nice & challenging course for someone like myself who usually sticks to flatter road races. Takes me back to being a kid jumping in muddy puddles. A little more strenuous than the advertised flat/undulating profile, although that could be me just being a wimp.
I tend to run races looking ahead of me, particularly on a trail race, looking for tree roots and other obstacles, so was not expecting to get my legs taken out from underneath me by a dog cutting in front of me from behind on one of the crowded and narrower parts next to the water. It could have been nasty, but thankfully I stumbled on and regained my balance, not really the dogs fault, but if anyone was going to run with a dog, they really should have control over it, maybe better to have a separate start. Confused over the finish, 10K or not? if not, then really what was the point of the chip timing? Good marshaling, nice T-shirt at the end.

In short: Splendid Squelching Saturday in Surrey
In full: Very beautiful and liked the mix of trails through heathland and woods. Seriously squelchy in places but good fun and nice atmosphere. Happy to have the dogs join in but agree be better if they could have set off first. Also don't understand why the finish is not at 10km and the start such a long. Very much agree with the previous comment about the late start. It was well advertised there was a bit of a walk to the start and I do hate hanging around getting chilly and the race being delayed for no good reason. Thank you to the organisers and marshals a fab if rather muddy start to the weekend.

In short: Nice race but about 400m over 10k
In full: Enjoyable - and I really liked the dogs and their participation, though can see the force in the view that they should have gone off first. It was a bit annoying for me that the course was a bit over 10k, with the 10k marker in advance of the finish line which seemed a bit odd. But overall a great way to start the weekend.

In short: Really enjoyed my first off-road race
In full: Having done numerous road races, this was really enjoyable, although surprisingly challenging given the wide mix of terrain. It was excellently marshalled and well organised. I'd definitely do it again. Personally I didn't have a problem with the dogs or i-pod wearers.

In short: Very enjoyable first off-road 10k
In full: I didn't mind the dogs, as someone else said the iPod wearers got in the way more!

Generally good organisation/marshalling, however, I was a bit annoyed at the start being delayed by 10 minutes due to people still making their way from the car park to the start. Since it was well advertised that there was a 5-10 minute walk to the start why did the majority that had arrived at the start in plenty of time and were nicely warmed up then have to stand around getting cold because of the few who were late?

I'm still unsure if the race was longer than 10km or if the 10km marker was in the wrong place!

In short: Enjoyable but wasn't prepared for dogs
In full: I have read the reviews with interest. I was taken aback when the first dog runner went past me but in the main, the owners were polite and considerate. I would have liked to have been told first about them and agree that they could have started off before the main field. A little thrown when I went past 10km marker and had to keep running - for a second, i thought I had made a dreadful mistake and would have to keep running! Overall, a good race
