In short: Fast and flat, just a shame about the weather.
In full: Will be a special race for me as broke the magic 40 at this race. A good race, agree with comments already posted on info on parking charges and toilets. Not sure about the hat

In short: A nice trot in the rain
In full: Generally well organised & friendly marshalls. No H20 station though & some decidely unfriendly drivers who clearly thought "no bunch of bloody joggers is gonna stop me" . The woman in the green Audi A3 was clearly very confused as she ploughed through us , "Everyone keeps banging on my roof!" I heard her say . Work it out luv.

In short: Well marshalled fast course
In full: The marshalls were very encouraging for the most part and particular mention should be made of the sweep who ran with me the whole way and helped me to a PB! I never quite understand how the out and back bit can feel uphill both ways...
If the weather is kind, this is a very quick course and the support in the village is very good.
Liked the hat, came in very handy for the walk back to the car!

In short: A bit nippy - Good flat/quick course
In full: Weather held off...just. A good quick course. Enough info in the race pack regarding parking charges & lap required of the village. No megaphone the only issue. Surprised that the free parking sports centre field that is used in the summer for parking was not used as 500 extra people in Bourton can only be good for business. Apologies if I am not 100% correct on this,

In short: Apart from the weather ...
In full: My training partner wore a long sleeved t-shirt under a t-shirt and tracksters. He still looked cold. I wore vest and shorts and wondered if I was mad. Actually, by the end I was reasonably warm. It's a great race, pretty flat and well marshalled. I don't really have any complaints except the hat was pretty hideous.

In short: Nice weather for ducks
In full: I last ran this race in 2007, when I got a PB, and I'm glad I returned fitter & faster, because I got another on this visit!
It was cold, it was wet, there was a bit of a headwind, the guy who started the race could do with an inhaler, some doddery old woman still managed to drive halfway down the main street before getting stopped, there wasn't much room for those of us who were putting in a sprint finish to stop after crossing the line before hitting the person in front, the Japanese & American tourists seemed bemused, and, instead of a medal, we all got a thoroughly useful wooly hat instead!
I'll try and return next year, but in the meantime, I'm looking forward to the Bourton Hilly Half...

In short: Great race once i got warm
In full: Congratulations to all that completed the course in full.......shame on you to the runners (sorry imposters) who turned in on the finish lane rather than completing the 2nd lap at the finish! Got my PB as well.

In short: Fast and flat but deathly cold!
In full: I thought this was an OK race but - at the risk of being a bit controversial - perhaps a tad over 10K this year? These details are important when you're looking to improve your PB! Solid organisation and a pretty route but more information about practical details such as the cost of parking and toilets should have been provided beforehand, especially as the machines in the village did not give change. Also, the starter needs a megaphone - couldn't hear a word he was saying! Liked the beanies - unusual and useful.
