In short: Not a bad race
In full: Took a friend who is relatively new to running and managed to help her shave 5 mins off her PB, well done to her! But was very disappointed that a) no medal for her and b) no official finishing time unless we paid £2. This is the first time that results haven't been available and I do hope it will be the last and that other organisers do not consider doing this!

In short: Flat, fast, fun but expensive.
In full: This is a good event. The inexperienced are rewarded with a good atmosphere and a gentle introduction to racing. There is however genuine PB potential in a flat course, a well managed and chip timed race.

The entry fee is relatively high and this years results service has become a legendary shambles. Despite that I will strongly consider coming back next year.

In short: Too big and overcrowded plus fiasco over the publication of results showed general lack of understanding and empathy for runners
In full: This race has got far too big to be manageable. The organisers seem to have lost sight of the interests of runners as demonstrated by the outrageous decision to withhold results from the web and charge £2 for a printed copy.

Course isn’t bad if you don’t mind city centre out and back. Far too crowded at the start probably made worse by having to funnel everyone over the ship timing mats.

Toilets totally inadequate for a race that size. Many other local races offering better atmosphere and value for money.
