In short: Tough 10 mile, but hugely enjoyable scenic route
In full: Not for the faint-hearted, nor for anyone seeking a PB. The Stortford 10 course has changed a lot over the years but this course is a winner.

In short: Great race- tough hill half way
In full: I did this race last and enjoyed it very much, I think it was hot then as well. Very well organised plenty of water. I went off for a PB but forgot about the hill half way. A challenging course the gradual incline between 7-9 was also painful. Beat last years time though so was quite happy with the end result.
Was also glad to be going right at the split instead of left with the 10 milers.

In short: Challenging course on a sweltering day !
In full: A well thought out course with great views. Enjoyed the split at 5k with the 10M runners going left and the 10k runners going right.

Cheeky hill hidden in the woods at 6 miles was a bit of a test.. great marshalling and superb effort that there were 3 water stations en-route.

In short: Great run despite the heat and the hills - truly multi-terrain.
In full: It was really good to be on a race where the off-road was so varied. There seemed to be marshals every few yards, and plenty of water. Where are the results though - Monday evening and still nothing online?

In short: Great scenery but very hot
In full: The route was very well marked, marshalls very friendly and water stations well placed.
The announcer at the start said there were 2 water stations when there were (thankfully) 4. The announcer also told everyone to remove ipods and personal stereos just before the start of the race due to traffic. I thought that was pretty daft and if they were serious should have made that rule clear much earlier.

In full: Don't go expecting a PB, it's a tough multi terrain course. I liked the mix of farm tracks, fields and country lanes. Really friendly marshalls and well organised. It was exceptionally hot and the organisers laid on plenty of water stations.

In short: Great race, will do it again next year
In full: Great race. Had a fantastic time. Friendly marshals and organisers. Great scenery. Bit hot, but water points well spaced. My first 10 mile and well worth the day out.

In short: Well organised, friendly marshalls, but a tough 10m course for a summers day.
In full: I really enjoyed last years 10K and came back this year to do the 10mile race, expecting the same sort of race but a longer version. It turned out to be a much harder course than I expected, with long off-road stretches and more hills. Once again it was very well organised and the marshalls were very friendly and supportive. Do this race for the scenery, but be prepared for a tough course.
