In short: well organised race. In full: Fairly flat route so good for PBs. Nice T-shirt at the end - although I did ask for a small and was given a medium. Date of review: September 27, 2007

In short: Disappointed with cup water station, water ended up on road. Very disappointed with huge T-shirt, next year please can you ask on entry what size T-shirt wanted. Date of review: September 5, 2007

In short: Well organised race over a pretty flat course with Pipers at the start and finish In full: My first time doing this local race and thought it was great - maybe partly due to a PB. It was well organised, although it would have been nice to know the route beforehand. The pipers at the start and finish were a nice touch and the t-shirt is quite cool. I do like to get a medal though. Definitely plan to do it next year. Date of review: September 4, 2007

In short: Very Clique - but good for beginners if you ignore that. In full: Seems like there are loads of club runners competing in this race and the small amateur runners are not appreciated or even recognised. However, the actual course was not too challenging with a couple of long inclines, but equally with long descents too.
Well marshalled. and policed.
Could not find directions anywhere on RW or their website i.e. no address, no tel number and no postcode. Even the race confirmation letter had NO DIRECTIONS. This was not only annoying but very frustrating. Eventually a visit to Dumfries Tourist Information gave me the school post code for my satnav. When I mentioned this to Steve Head, he seemed not to care much and was more concerend about his telephone number remaining ex-directory! My problem was not his telephone number, it was directions to the EVENT.
I felt very unwelcome, and even though I traveled 150 miles, and got a PB, I will not be enterinbg again.
But thanks for the PB.
