In short: First 10k, well organised, looking forward to this years.
In full: A good starter 10k with the only real challenge being the bypass that is far more of an incline than it seems when you are driving up it everyday. This was my first 10k and run on my birthday so a special event all round, after a short training period I was hoping for -60mins and manage to get round in 56.22 so I was delighted with that effort. A lot more preperation (although I still haven't done another one yet, doing the Notfast 10k in Newark on 8th July) I am aiming for sub 50mins this year. A real friendly bunch with loads of encouragement.

In short: Well organised road race in North Herts.
In full: My 1st ever 10k race, so also a PB! This is on my doorstep, so a must-do really. Set off a bit too fast, so paid later (but last km being downhill was very helpful). Plenty of free water and bananas at the finish plus water and biscuits in goody bag. Also a souvenir wooly hat for winter training.

There was a chap doing commentary as runners entered the finsish area. Despite giving my all and overtaking 3-4 people in front of the 'grandstand', the announcer seemed only interested in citing the exploits of club runners.

In short: Well organised road race
In full: Some challenging inclines, the worst being the busy A507 road but very well organised with wide variety of abilities in the field.

In short: Quite a few inclines, and a speedy pace, so maybe not for the absolute beginner. Well-organised though.
In full: Scenery could be better - a lot of runing on roads with high hedges so not much chance of a view until around the 7km point. Beginners should note that from 6km til 9km there are quite a few steep inclines - these hills are probably of no concern to anyone who has run a few races but i found them quite tricky!
