In short: Good race, glad it went ahead. Great for beginners.
In full: Despite the criticisms that seem to be going on I enjoyed this race again (3rd time I've done it) - once the snow had cleared up I thought it was the best running conditions I have yet experienced in Blackpool (but I guess I only know it in February!) I think the organizers did well to keep the race on and clear the snow. Well done and I shall be back next year!

In short: Well marshalled run along the front at Blackpool
In full: Well done on keeping the race on and well done to the brave marshalls who looked after us but pre and post race attention to detail was lacking. The Hilton and Portaloo's were terrible and the girls should of made up the bags while we were racing to ease the congestion at the end.

In short: still not up to scratch
In full: no secure baggage area as advertised. i asked an official where to put my stuff and a large lady by the computers told me to put my bag by a chair, but when i went to sit on it, she screamed at me that i wasn't allowed to sit on a chair! then said we weren't allowed in that area. so how were we supposed to leave our gear there? stand on the other side of the room and poke our bags over with a long stick?
empty goody bag with nothing left at all to go in it, not even a bottle of water, and i wasn't in the last 50.
garmin measured well short.
not enough toilets. smelly porta loos that got disgustingly full too soon.

In short: Great job clearing the snow! Chuffed with my time and goody bag! It probably doesn't deserve the rating I gave it completely, but it's my first so obviously I'm abit biased

In short: Could Have Been Better
In full: The organisers had done a good job of clearing the route of snow. However, the huge queue for the goodie bag - make it yourself was poor and not ideal as soon as you stopped running. Also they gave out all the Mars bars first so only Snickers left which is a problem if you can't eat nuts I thought I would pass out. I also thought that having to pay for the portaloo was poor given the entry fee.

In short: Not as good as last year
In full: The organisers did very well to clear the snow. Apart from for that, the organisation wasn't great. The goodie bags were awful (tatty medal and t-shirt, Snickers and water) and took ages to collect. What we received seemed very poor value for money given there was no chip timing and few roads to close. I found the bloke on the tannoy to be de-motivating ("all the people coming in now have past the 1:30 mark") and the race lacked atmosphere. I was looking forward to the event but after this experience I won't be doing it again.
