In short: Flat course - fantastic PB potential (as long as the wind doesn't blow)
In full: A rather desolate disused airfield that might be used for an edgy rock video is the setting for this well organized race. Mostly club runners looking for a fast time, not surprising as the course is almost completely flat. I took 90 seconds off my own PB.

In short: Great race. Windy as always on the airfield.
In full: Start out and back on the airfield which is always a bit testing with the u-turn coming back into the headwind. Not too strong a wind this year, but it will always be breezy as it's so exposed. Lovely jaunt around the country lanes. Back onto the airfield for another battle with the wind! Nice memento. Great cakes on sale. Loved the marshalls directing on the way in with the enormous pointy hands. Easy hard-surface parking.

In short: Fast and flat, great for beginners.
In full: This was my first 10km race and I found the event very beginner friendly. Slightly windy on some of the long straight stretches but apart from that a great opportunity for a fast run! Will be back next year...

In short: If it wasnt for the wind..maybe a pb race, but the sheer flat-ness made 8/9km point arather gusty! Nice small and friendly reace though:D

In short: A decent test for any half reasonable runner
In full: It was enjoyable and the old airfield was longer to run than you thought, but a very enjoyable race.

In short: Beat my PB by over 2 mins
In full: Very well organised race. Great to get a bottle at the water station instead of a cup. Very nice coaster memento. Wide choice of excellent homemade cakes in the tea tenant a definite bonus. Good flat course but a possibly a bit exposed on the airfield in the final stages if there is a headwind like today. All in all a good day out - will be back next year !
