In short: A mad hill to start, but well marshalled and friendly In full: With only 200-odd runners (and some not so strange ones)there was never going to be chaos in the car park. A very "village fete" atmosphere, welcoming and family friendly I thought. My son, who is 4, was proud to receive his own medal and run a race wearing a number just like his Dad! The only downside was crossing a main road after about 4 km - the marshalls did their best but there are always going to be some inconsiderate drivers who give little thought for others. I hope that the WPSA saw the event as a success - if it's on again next year I'll make every effort to be there. Thanks for a nice day. Date of review: May 22, 2007

In short: Another fantastic race In full: Even better this year. Really family friendly with lots going on. The 3k race had 80 entries! Wonderful weather just made things better. Absolutely no complaints and I'll be back next year dragging the family with me! Date of review: May 21, 2007

In short: Well organised race. Excellent family atmosphere In full: We enjoyed this event as a family with the youngest two doing the mini-race. My 12 year old ran the 3k with me. Yes, I was probably the only one daft enough to do both races...
I would suggest that on a warm day like today, one or two extra water stations would help some of the runners who didn't have their own supplies.
The steep start for the first 1K probably knocks off 30secs off ones time overall but does make for a thrilling sprint downhill to finish off.
