In short: a nice race away from the bottlkenecks
In full: Once you have done this race once you can plan for the bottlenecks. Either set off fast or just go with the flow.

Some parts very narrow and a twisted ankle waiting to happen.

Butif you view it as a nice Sunday morning run its great.

I agree on Results - why not just add 50p to entry fee and send everyone the results. CAr too far away to go back.

In short: Nice run, but the route does have problems
In full: I don't want to be too critical because it is a nice friendly atmosphere and it was for a good local cause.
BUT, within roughly 400m of the start there is a bottleneck where it starts to go on the trail, and the trail then is very narrow. There are approx 4 bottlenecks or steps to go through/over, so a PB is unlikely.
The water stations were not properly run. When I went past the first one, there were just 2 people frantically pouring water into plastic cups. As they were only filling them up between 1/3 and 1/2 I saw people running off with 2 or 3 cups at a time. I know that the later runners did not get to have any water at either station. If it was due to lack of cups, then runners at the front, please spare a thought for the runners coming behind you. I know you think you need the water more as you are running faster, but it is only a 10K and maybe the slower, more inexperienced runners need it more.

FInal gripe now. I know it is not just this run that has done it, and I know it will not be the last, but, if you advertise to give certain incentives to run, like a trophy and goody bag, please do you best to supply them.

All that said, I will be back next year.

In short: Scenic, but too many bottlenecks and narrow course
In full: Difficult to pass slower runners as the course quite narrow in places. Would be very muddy in wet weather, but quite scenic.

In short: As always very friendly and organised
In full: Early morning rain cleared up to sunshine. Nice route along the river, over bridges and stiles which makes a nice change from roads. Gentleman doing the commentary his usual entertaining self.
