In short: Lovely rural village, lovely people, lots of enthusiastic youngsters going for gold in the 3k - really uplifting and friendly

In short: If you can run this you can run any 10k
In full: Second time I have run this, once again it was very hot. Could we have an earlier start please? How about setting the 10K off and then the 3k? After the tough climb into Grovely Wood I enjoyed the race and the scenery but could have done without the extra .3 miles at the end. The ice lollies were a great post race boost!

In short: Small and challenging race with great atmosphere.
In full: Very well organised, free parking, clear directions and plenty of marshalls. There were less than 100 runners however there was a great atmosphere generated by the enthusiasm of both the crazy warm up lady and the very friendly organiser. We all started the race smiling; I really enjoyed the event. The run was a challenge every step, starting with a continuos 3k incline, than through woods and finally down a steep chalky path. The field was mixed abilities so there was competition (or company) for all if wanted. I travelled 25 miles to this event and thought it worth the effort, money going to a good cause too. My only dissapointment was no free food (bottled water was provided) at the end, i do not carry money whilst running so had to beg some candyfloss to keep me going.

In short: Hills not as bad as expected. Marshalling excellent and very vocal support for all at the end. A very well organised small event that deserves more support. Would recommend to everybody I meet although needs remeasuring.

In short: Tough but what's wrong with that...
In full: Yeah the first hill is a bit of a shocker, but it's not amazingly bad, just a steady uphill for a few kms. Hardly notable really. Once in the woods it's really nice, then a fast downhill near the end. Will definitely be back next year.

In short: This is a toughie, but a really great workout. Good if you are training for something longer.

In short: PB? Not a chance.
In full: A very challenging race with a few killer hills and difficult terrain for most of the 10k. A total of 6.52 miles which meant I blew out when I put in my kick at 6 miles up the last hill. No Km markers which could be addressed. Great atmosphere, a cheery PA and a mad woman doing an amusing warm-up.

In short: Excellently organised, great atmosphere, wonderful scenery ...... but very tough
In full: This was a great race, lovely location. The scenery was great and I will hopefully be back next year. However it was hilly and tough, but with friendly and helpful marshalls.
Good day out with the family, next year they will have a go at the 3km.

In short: I'll be having nightmares tonight about those hills!!!
In full: For a local 10km this was a good race on a tough course. No chance of a PB, especially as my mates Garmin gave a distance of 6.5 miles at the end. We really didn't need the extra .3 mile! I would have liked to have seen KM markers, as I don't think that would have been too difficult to organise. Marshals and spectators all very encouraging. Thank you. I might be back....
