In short: A load of snow just added to the charm of this boxind day event. In full: My 1st time at this race, an unusual 4.5 mile distance which is ideal given the excesses of Christmas day.
A simple out and back course amongst pleasant scenery, the terrain was slippy given the snow, I would assume this to be a fast course in normal conditions, mind you didn't stop the winner from looking like he was running on the track.
A lovely medal presented by the vicar of St Leonards added to the community feel of the race.
Well marshalled and some hot tea and mince pies etc at the end always goes down well.
For a fiver entry you don't get much better value than this.
A well done to the marshalls as ever, braving the cold and giving up their valuable time is something that should ever go un rewarded.
Many thanks! Date of review: December 27, 2010
