In full: This year's Trailblazer was a blast. Perfectly organised, beautiful scenery and challenging course. You start uphill and you finish on a steep grassy hill. Water stations throughout, very varied surface (soft, gravel, trail, grass).

You start in different waves, approx. 40 runners per wave, and they bring you to the start (5min walk from the event village / finish). You get a detailed instruction in how to treat this race and how to look after yourself and others. Most of the runners (there were a lot of Londoners) aren't probably used to trail running.

Absolutely perfect organisation, the best goody bag I got. Really nice medal (if you collect them). The bag contained free samples of For Goodness Shakes (ready mixed and instant powder), beef jerky, energy gels, energy bars, a totebag, a tech shirt (pre race), deep heat patch, jointcare cream sample, various magazines (Runner's World, Triathlete, Men's Health), a Men's Health DVD total body workout (very male focused though), and many more.

Onsite For Goodness Shake sampling, food, drinks, music, rat race shop with big discounts, picnic opportunities, your race entry entitles you to make use of facilities around (e.g. go ape, cycling).

Shame they only captured me once, even if I'd seen at least 3 event photographers out there.

Oh, and it's a time chip race. Prizes for the fastest runners male & female / age group.

In short: Superb Event
In full: As per previous comments-could not fault any part of the organisation at all. For £29.00 for what you got, the freebies you could take, and the warm welcome everywhere, worth every penny. The race was harder than I imagined, some tough up hill sections, but still posted a decent time. If it sparked an interest in Trail runs, try the Titsey Trail in October-real off road!

In short: An excellent event
In full: Very well organised with lot's going on in the village.
Minor gripes - had to ask for plastic ties for timer chip - I saw several people trying to tie the chip into their laces. More toilets if possible next year.
A few of the other runners were getting worked up because a few people in a our start group were going quite slow and it was difficult to overtake at the start.

In short: Great day out
In full: A great day out. We arrived early and stayed late. The event village, visitor's centre and the trails through the woods kept the whole family busy all day long - the glorious weather helped.

First trail race so didn't know what to expect - but the final 500m was a killer - nearly saw my chance of a PB slip away - but I just couldn't go any faster at that point.

Great goody bag - and what with that, the tee shirt, the freebies at the RW stand, free parking - although it was expensive for a 10k definitely value for money.

Thanks to all who were involved in putting this one together.

In short: Fun, friendly race - would do again
In full: Lovely to do a smaller race, really friendly atmosphere and thought the organisation was great. Liked the t-shirt too. Yes there was a few steep climbs but there was lots of lovely downhills too. Some of the path was a little bumpy but that added to the fun. I really enjoyed it and will definitely do next year

In short: Great but course could have been better
In full: Lovely venue but the course itself was disappointing and a little dull. It was also quite challenging with several hilly sections including a ridiculously steep grassy climb for the the last 500 yards. HOWEVER it was brilliantly organised with great marshalling and an excellent village fete atmosphere at the start with some good family activities.

In short: Great organisation - route could be better
In full: A generally great race, but knowing some of the routes used at Bedgebury for 10K's, it could be better - finishing on uphill grass is way too harsh and also some of the trails used were too uneven.

However, it is still my favourite pace to do a 10K and the orgainsation was very very good. More than enough marshalls, a very good goody bag, free massage's afterwards.

You're not going to get a PB here, but you will enjoy it.
