In short: Too tough for an East Yorkshire road runner
In full: Lots of hills (all up) lots of rocks, a bit of mud, several bottle necks (including a bollard in the middle of entrance onto bouncy bridge). Really hard work, not a course for PB’s or close to them. The toughest event I have done so far. Nice bottle of beer for finishing. Now it’s behind me a think I enjoyed it – sort of. Not sure how valid the time is as the distance would depend on the route taken through the wood up the hill! Good atmosphere and organisation.

In short: Fabulous welcome home by a big bunch of Skyrac runners.
In full: Never done it before, but made to feel very welcome. Skyrac organise a newcomers training session on the Tuesday after the race - what a good idea! I'm still too slow to join a club but maybe one day!

In short: great in good weather
In full: really enjoyed this race - definately not a PB course, but lovely scenery. Slow start due to congestion, and had to queue at bottlenecks, but will definately be back next year.

In short: Challenging event around Esholt
In full: One to savour rather than race, towards the back anyway. Enjoyable way to spend Easter Sunday running around the water works, along the canal and up (and down) through the woods. Congested in places so expect a slower than normal pace. Good event worth doing if just for the change.

In short: Good job it was a nice day
In full: I can imagine it would be a mud fest in poorer weather, especially up the hill in the woods, but in glorious sunshine, it was almost enjoyable, even that sneaky hill at the end. No chance of a PB with the bottlenecks, so leave your watch at home and enjoy the views.
