In short: less organised than last year
In full: was a bit peeved not to get a towel - its the not the towel itself as we have several at home from previous year races, but its the principle. Don't advertise it as momento to all finsihers then sell more places than you have towels for. My running club hosts a half marathon every year and would simply not consider having less medals than were sold numbers for!! Lucky for us we knew were the race car park was but some cars in front of us took the wrong turn due to lack of marshalls.
Chip timing would really improve this race.

In short: A Good Race but nothing Special
In full: Now I enjoyed the race and the surroundings, but the course has a couple of switchbacks which make maintaining pace hard, I liked the laps but catching others is demoralising for them and taxing to dodge at the end for us. I liked the towel a useful change to medals/mugs. I'll probably be back.

In short: Ok, but slightly disappointing this year
In full: My fourth 'Run in the Park'. Enjoyed the race and would do it again as it's fairly local. Can empathise with comments re memento. I picked up another towel(got 1 last year or year before) but would have left it if I'd known of shortage. Was also handed a mug. On return home, found it related to 2003 running and consequntly of no value to me at all. Seemed a way of cutting down on costs by getting rid of old stock. Disappointing!

In short: scenic country park run,
In full: Nice run, recommended by a friend. Very pleasant surroundings. I arrived early and though the entry form said that car parking was included no-one seemed to know which car park and I could see no signs to designated car park so rather than risk a ticket I paid again.
The map of the park that came with my number was so blurred as to be unreadable.
The start was slightly chaotic as it was not clear where the start was.
Being overtaken by other runners on the second lap was dispiriting.
I think the towels ran out as I wasn't offered one.
The marshalls were all very encouraging and good natured though some had us running on the left of the paths, others on the right.
The information sheet said that Ipods would be banned but I saw many runners still using them quite openly, not sure why the inconsistency.
Nice day out, but won't do it again.

In short: Third time out
In full: This is the third time I do this one, but I don't think I'll do it again: the race said "memento" given to finishing runners, but after we finished they ran out of towels (that was the memento) so kind of disappointed really. Other than that this is a good run to boost your confidence with a personal best as the race is quite flat and therefore technically easy. Excellent marshalling though.

In short: First time for this event, good race, well organised. Enjoyed myself. Thanks and well done SAC. Towel was a nice touch too.

In short: Pretty good but a few things could be improved
In full: For me, this is a very local race at a park that I visit regularly. My 3rd 10K and matched my PB. Overall, fairly pleased with the day. However, there are a few things that could make it better.

Positives:
* great support from people around the course and stewards
* fairly flat course around country park
* minimal traffic (tended to be people that live on the country park or early finishers leaving carpark)
* free parking
* water available regularly
* cheap race entry

Negatives:
* unclear location of start line (finish line was very clear!) - everyone seemed to head to finish line and then needed to be ushered back
* no chip timing
* unclear km markings throughout route
* poor map on instruction sheet
* steward ushered fellow runner to finish line one lap too early
* Towel at end was useful but not much of a momento

Therefore, to make this better, I'd recommend:

* making the start line area much clearer
* add 'lap number' to km markers
* provide chip timing

In short: 1st time of doing this, loved it, but then I like multi lap races, very well set up race, well done SAC.
