In short: enjoyable 4 lap race
In full: Not everyone would enjoy doing a 4 lap 20 miler however I found it excellent for pacing & particularly motivating to know I was passing a particular marshal or geographical feature for the final time. Nice looking home made cakes featured at the end.

In short: I loved this race - everyone made me feel like a star just for taking part!
In full: Thank you to all the marshalls who gave up their time to support us all in this race. Everyone had a really positive attitude and gave huge amounts of support. The event was well organised, friendly and fantastic fun. I was made to feel like a winner just for having taken part!

In short: The mundaneness of the course is challenging but friendly and well marshalled
In full: I found the mundaneness of 4 circuits very mentally challenging and was much slower than in the Bramley 20 at the end of Feb. I found the last 5 a real challenge but I have to say I was spurred on by that lady at mile 4 who had stayed out cheering and encouraging. What a star. I thought it was very friendly and well marshalled and despite having a poor run I would do it again.

In short: Great prep for a first time marathoner
In full: Well marshalled, clear signage, good traffic control. Sporadic water stations left me dehydrated.
Support from lady @ 4 miles was amazing - kids in tow throughout were great too.
Race record - Bill Adcocks 1972 - 1hr 39min? Wow.

In short: Great pre-marathon 20 miler
In full: Four laps of 5 miles make this race ideal for a progression training session, building up to marathon pace or beyond. Well organised and fun atmosphere - post race showers and changing area very welcome. More loos would be good (as always!).
