In short: A very well organised race, friendly marshalls and excellent value for money.
In full: The course was great - not too flat to be dull but none of the inclines were either too steep or too long - perfect PB potential. The village hall was over-flowing at the start and there weren't quite enough loos but finding the ones hidden behind the stage was a bonus especially at 9:50 when the queues for the others were not going down quickly enough. The rest of the organisation was excellent, the staggered start helped get everyone round a tight bend to get out of the field, the 1/2 mile markers seemed to make the race go by quicker and having someone to take your chip off at the end is a nice touch. And it was all so friendly that even the chap directing traffic at the end of the race was asking everyone if there was anything they could have done better! Well done to the organisers all round.

In short: A very pleasant half-marathon
In full: A well organised race in pleasant countryside. The course is fairly flat with just a couple of small hills. Very well marshalled. Also the goodies at the end were excellent.

I was very pleased with a new PB.

In short: Great PB course in lovely countryside
In full: A great race with fantastic PB potential. The prefect running conditions also helped. Almost no inclines at all throughout the whole course. Great organisation at the start and finish with bacon butties and cups of tea for the spectators which was appreciated by my other half.
My fourth identical glass memento! I'm running out of rooms to put them in!

In short: Brilliant
In full: Cannot criticise this race at all. Considering it was in a small village everything was good. The start wasn't that muddy (contrary to what others have written)and running on the grass only lasted for a couple of hundred metres, what hardship!!!
To all of those who said the "finish was hidden",if you had been paying attention at the start you would of noticed the large yellow FINISH signs and timing chip mats next to the start line area.
The glass block memento at the end was amazing.
The water stations were also good considering you are in the middle of the countryside.
Lets be positive about small races and not criticise for criticising sake!!!!!!

In short: A very pleasant 3rd 1/2 marathon for me.
In full: This was only my 3rd half marathon. With my previous PB being 2:03:57 at Silverstone(An exceptionally flat course) only 4 weeks previous, but feeling far better prepared for this one(No dead leg from football) I was feeling quietly confident. I really surprised myself though, a new PB by almost 12 and half minutes, 1:51:20! Although surroundings have never really bothered me when running being one of the lucky few who can just keep my head up, look at the horizon, zone out and keep running this was far more pleasant than Silverstone. I particularly liked my memento, all 1/2 marathons after this one have a lot to live upto in this department. My only real gripe with this event was the ease at which I was able to obtain my belongings after the race. Put my car keys in an envelope which was stored in a locked room. This was fine, except on collection no check was made that my racer number matched, I could have picked up anyone's things.

In short: Good course with just enough inclines to keep you interested
In full: Well organised, with PB potential proven with a handful of club members getting best times. Not flat but definitely no hills worth mentioning.
