In full: Very tough course and conditions this year did not help. Still, it's all very doable even for road runners especially if marathon training. No mile markers so that can play havoke mentally when you really want to stop.

Shame to focus on being a training run for those preparing for a marathon but given the time of year it's always going to attract a lot with that in mind and for those I would recommend it. Respect to those you raced it in it's own right - you're tough as boots

In short: Brilliant as always
In full: Although this is a tough race, you should do it as a training run for a spring Marathon. It is "tough but doable". Great for a nice time-on-feet LSR

The organization is good, the scenery is fabulous and the marshals and water station helpers are great.

This was my 2nd time and just a beautiful as I remember. How often do you get to run through scenery like this?

Lots of mud this year, different from 2009 when it was bone dry. I've got through both times in road shoes but granted I'm not going at speed!

Excellent race

In short: A tough run; plenty of hills and loads of mud this year. The hill at the end is "special"

In short: Very tough, hilly, muddy, wet run.
In full: Very tough, hilly, muddy & wet run. Challenging 21 miles over Cannock Chase.
Had to walk up the switch backs & hill at the end. Good training run if doing Marathon.
