In short: Not for the faint-hearted, especially with the hot weather
In full: I live in the Potteries and it is great to do a half marathon here. But it is a REAL TOUGHIE. The weather this year was cruelly hot and made a slow time slower for everyone. But the crowds around the course are really superb.

In short: A challenging course on a hot day. Great organisation, enthusiastic crowds, very generous goody bag.
In full: A challenging course with many hills. Very warm this year. The crowds were friendly and enthusiastic. A well organised run with medal, t-shirt and ceramic plate for finishers.
A worthy successor to the Potts Marathon - I'll be back next year to, hopefully, improve my time.

In short: 1st ever race, really enjoyed it. Crowds where awsome.
In full: Thought that the hills where a real challenge, wouldn't have enjoyed the race as much without them. Not a bad time for my 1st time, defo back nxt year, but ill be going home with a gold rather than a bronze.

In short: Feelin hot hot hot.............
In full: Excellent race despite the hot weather and an incredibly slow time! Don't want to complain about the weather though as the nice weather is always welcome.

Great spectator turnaout and the goody bag was the best I've had for years. Take note all you t-shirt only race organisers......

BRING MEDALS BACK!! (Start a chant)

In short: How many hills?!*!
In full: My first 1/2 marathon and it was tough! Never knew my home town had so many hills!!
The heat was only just bearable with thanks to the great supporters with their hose pipes and water guns.
That hill at 11.5 miles was an absolute killer but great sense of achievement when you run through the finish line.
Not put off will be back again next year!

In short: Hot weather but very enjoyable course
In full: Organisers have built on the success of last year's inaugural race and provided a really well organised race. Plenty of warnings to drink plenty and drinks stations were in abundance out on the course. The weather bought out the crowds, already in World Cup festive spirit. Loved it. Hope it becomes a long-lasting fixture.
