In short: Good race, flat course canal provided nice scenery, just need to tweak organisation slightly ie mark start more clearly and get distance markers right

In short: fine race for the start of the year
In full: this was my first time running the jack crawford and it was a great day altogether. Well marshalled, a nice flat and scenic route along the canal and good facilities. only gripe is that the first few k and the last followed a very narrow route which made it difficult for over-taking. Otherwise all good, and will definitely do it next year.

In short: great race
In full: strange distance markers but I'm sure everyone realised they were a bit out. Great race atmosphere and well organised with good support from the few marshals on course. Great support elsewhere too. Quite a short area after the finish line but the time recorders were spot on. Thanks to the springburn harriers for a super race at only a fiver a skull....nice one!

In short: Nice race, good organisation, convenience of leisure centre start and finish.
In full: Can get crowded at the start as the first bit is along single track canal towpath as is the last mile so very difficult to overtake which could affect you PB potential but as flat as a pancake so if you have the room to move great. Markers were a bit awry - according to the Km markers I went through 2km in 6 mins!!! Unheard of and some of the others were a bit out too. That said its a great race with a great atmosphere - plenty of support and very friendly. I would highly recommend it to anyone. Mnay thanks to the organisers if you are reading this.
