In short: Great for fast runners, encouraging for intermediates & incentive creating for beginners

In short: pretty but dull, organisation needs to improve
In full: achingly tedious course- the lake and surroundings are pretty but
up
and down
and up again
and down again
is horrible. Demoralising too, but if you're not bothered it's very quick pb time. Finish funnel was hopeless, took 45 mins to leave car park, but a new venue, hopefully just teething troubles.

In short: Smooth and flat course, spoiled for speed only by crosswind
In full: Great organisation, a good atmosphere and an interesting spot - not exactly scenic, but interesting to see the rowing lake (and, ahem, disparity between private and public education!), and a real collection of runners fast and slow. The looping course was well set-out from that point of view, as those of us in the middle of the race could always see those at the front whilst thinking "phew, glad I'm not back there" at those behind.
