In short: My first half-marathon so I was very pleased to finish. A nice route through the city and through parks.

In short: Great.
In full: Great half course, good to include key points of the city (embankment, wollaton park, university lake etc.), more hilly than I expected or trained for. Great atmosphere and really pleased to have been part of it - shame the old legs packed up about 100 yds before the finish line ;-)

In short: Well organised, but a few touches could make it really excellent
In full: Great race, but desperately needs pens to encourage slower runners to the back. Third time racing this and every year start further forward and still overtaking walkers at the third mile. Supporters and marshals better than ever this year, and less time at HP was welcome. 2nd half is still very quiet, but seemed better supported than last year. Query over the distance on the hastily re-arranged 2nd half - everyone seems to have measured the course long though - and by quite a way, which suggests not just margin of error. Marathon price vs half price makes it seem like a bargain, but £1 of entry fee to charity does not seem worth it. Will be back next year again I expect but maybe just the half.

In short: Great race - but good do better!
In full: Really enjoyed this - once I got into a rythem!
Downside - tried to start from the boards that displayed my anticipated finish time. However, too many people near front who should have been near the back, and I spent firt couple of miles trying to fight my way through.
Also, I believe the chip time should determine your finishing placement, as people finished higher than me according to the 'official' placings, yet I ran it faster than them according to my chip time!
Upside - No traffic! Well organised, and very well supported. Fellow runners near me were friendly, and everyone supported each other. Enjoyed it, although I believe I could have done it quicker if I wasn't fighting through the crowd at the start. Bring on next year!!!

In short: My favourite half so far - bring on those hills!
In full: My 3rd half and 2nd PB despite the dreaded hills, which weren't so much hills as welcome leg-stretchers. Weather was perfect for the first half - drizzly beforehand to cool us down then dried up in time for the start. Baggage queues were scarily long just before the start - but the queue went down quickly once we were told to just leave bags at the desk and they'd be sorted out. Loos could have perhaps been restocked during the race? Little, if no, veggie food options, but didn't feel guilty at having chips after running 13.1 miles. Marshal support was fantastic, and drinks stations plentiful. Could have had a bit more space between the tables as did get congested. Goody bag disappointing for price, and assuming nothing went to charity, didn't feel I could justify an extra £14 for the t-shirt - yes, it's techy, but also unisex. Would love to do this again, maybe the full....
