In short: Everyone should do this race at least once in their life.
In full: I've had time to reflect and I've read all the other comments so I won't go on too much about car parking except that early means 9 to 9:30!
The race is hard, I've no idea why people were pushing and shoving in the early narrow sections, there's plenty of opportunity to overtake when I'm knackered! I found the congested hills something of a relief but don't remember there being quite so much debris on the paths last year. The risk of injury is quite high.
I love the T-shirt, I've got a drawer full of medals but the shirt can be worn with pride (except last years which wasn't so good).
It's one of the handful of races I really look forward to.

In short: Fantastic Muddy Wet & Cold Hill Laugh
In full: Great fun makes GRIM look like a walk in the park. Loads of Hills to 'climb' water and mud to wade. Definately not ANYONES 10 mile PB unless your first. Just one big day of fun fun fun.

In short: Great race
In full: They forewarned about the parking and there really isn't much alternative. Narrow paths slightly more cramped this year, but still my favourite race of the year.

In short: Muddy and magnificent!
In full: A gentle 5 mile warm up to break you in then 5 miles of HELL!!!
After a few hills and a bit of mud, you find the bits that make it HELLRUNNER! The bog, the river, the Hills of Hell and the final fling with the Sheep Dip. The last two after you hear the finish to your right but turn left.
The atmosphere was great, especially in the wet bits. Comments have been made about the parking, but it is a restricted site and a small price to pay for such a unique event.
Another catering van may be an idea as the queues were long after the finish.
Will make sure I'm a bad boy next year to get back into HELL!

In short: Not your bog-standard road race!
In full: If you'd have seen my face at 10am on Sunday morning, you might have thought I didn't fancy the prospect of the Hell Run. In hindsight I have to say I enjoyed every minute and will definitely do it again. So long as it's not raining. And if they sort the car parking out. Brilliant fun :-)
