In short: the hardest and the best advebture running experiance you can have. In full: The best goody bag and the best quality t shirt I have ever had also. I've done a few half marathons but this is far harder. I'd say this race is equivelent to about 15 miles. It say's 11 miles but it actually measures 12. Loads of fun and a great way to say goodbye to the trainers that have served you well throughout the year, cos you wont be able to use them again. Date of review: April 11, 2010

In short: Mud, Hills, more mud, more hills. In full: Never laughed as much during a race. Fanatastic fun all the way round and surprisingly hard over the last couple of muddy, soggy freezing miles! This race sells out for a reason! Date of review: November 11, 2009

In full: Ok I should have trained harder but what a race. I've done easier marathons! Bloody good fun though, and very very muddy :-) Definitely want to do it again. Date of review: November 10, 2009

In short: Toughest race I have ever done by a big margin!!! In full: This race is not for the faint hearted - I knew it was going to be hard but it was really, really, really hard!!! It was almost soul destroying in places! Was supposed to be running with my husband but he is injured so was on my own so thanks to those who helped me up when I fell and when I almost twisted my ankle!! At the end I said never again and was completely exhausted....but now in hindsight I would say it is definitely a special race and I will be entering next year....but I may do more hill training in the Lakes to prepare me a bit better - I have just stopped aching! ;-) Date of review: November 6, 2009

In short: Best Ever - could rival Tough Guy! In full: Everything was fantastic - organisation, signage, marshalling, route... I've done all of the Delamere Forest ones so far and this was the best by far - more mud (as I asked for last year (sorry!)) and more off trail through the trees etc. Well done to the organisers - I still think you get great value for the entry fee! In short: Great muddiness as usual - terrible organisation at the end In full: The last thing you want after 12.1 miles of mud is to have to stand for 20 minutes to get a goody bag - why could the stewards not have packed these before!!!!! Also - the man with the water bottles was nowhere near the finish area - where he was most needed Date of review: November 3, 2009
