In short: Pleasant semi-rural hack, with even a short offroad section.Pleasant day out.
In full: Lordshill is a green outpost of Southampton - part of the course winds through an industrial estate, but takes in a Nature reserve!

95% tarmac with a short woody bridleway section thrown in for those who have never got their pristine ASICS grubby or risked a nettle sting ( inhalers to the fore urban types)

Well-marshalled friendly set up which starts and finishes at a playing field. Given that it is in walking distance of a public swimming pool and a more exclusive David lloyd tennis centre the lack of showers and a changing tent is not too troubling.

Favourite race of all time ? No
Would I do it again ? Yes

( damme I even shaved a minute off last year's rather poor time too !)

In short: Enjoyable 10k, very well marshalled.
In full: I dont know how much effort goes into organising a road race, but I have to say I am always very impressed by the Lordshill team, the officials are very welcoming and helpful, 2009 was no exception, my thanks to all involved and for the encouragement from the marshalls on the route.

In short: A well organised local friendly race
In full: A very hot and humid day, which I feel made times slower than for previous years. This was my slowest 10k ever.
This is a very well organised race, with friendly, enthusiastic marshals. I will certainly be back next year, and also intend to enter the 10 miler, which is also an excellent race.
