In short: Tough and challenging but I'll be back!
In full: Hilly, boggy, muddy - this is what was promised and it delivered! The organisation was great, the marshalls at the checkpoints were all very encouraging and handing out biscuits, cake and bananas. A good quality long sleeve technical t-shirt for all finishers and an instant printout of checkpoint splits with indication of your finishing position. Lots of parking at the school for a donation, which we were happy to support. Most of the course marked out, someone had been very busy with their little arrow stickers, we missed a couple but quickly got back on track, but it would be beneficial to reccy the route beforehand as suggested by the organisers. Will be back next year...

In short: Superb organisation which includes a series of organised recces which were great
In full: A must for all those who enjoy off road marathons. Quite tough but no pain no gain - take advantage of the organised recces in the months leading up to the day of the event, the organisers and marshalls are friendly and helpful and want everyone to have a great race. Fab technical top I am proud to wear! Thank you

In short: Thanks to the marshalls and everyone at Keighley AC for another excellent event. However ...
In full: I did this race for the second time today and it was every bit as good as I remembered last time. Brilliant route, scenery, marshalls and atmosphere throughout. I have only one gripe. I arrived at 9-50 (10 minutes before the race start)after having allowed plenty of time to arrive early. Their were major roadworks at two villages on the A644 from the M62. Anyone travelling from south of Bradford might have used this route. It would have been helpful for the Committee to check for roadworks and at least put details on the website. I checked the website last night and there was no late information. I hope the committee sees this and puts it right for next year. As I made the start just as 'the gun went' it didn't spoil my experience, but it could so easily have.

In short: Superb race - a "must do"
In full: Thanks to KCAC for another cracking Yorkshireman. Have to mark you down for not having scones at the halfway checkpoint this year, but the biscuits were good and the soup & cake at the finish was excellent. Oh, I quite enjoyed the run, too.

As for the previous comment about no showers - did you not see the fell-runners' shower (hose pipe) round the back of the school!

In short: Tough, challenging, muddy, fun and great value!
In full: Not a great race for me personally as I was still recovering from running 56 miles last weekend in the Bullock Smithy! However, I'd intended ona tough 'plod' and I certainly got it. Very undulating, very muddy and squishy which played a bit of havoc with my ankles. However, I got home safely (and dry, if a bit mucky) and managed the full 26.2 miles in one pieces and with a couple of bruises (from falling). Great value, nice techie-T, good atmosphere (at least at the back!). I'll be back next year, but I'll leave the ultra the week before OUT of the equation this time! I've never eaten so many broken biscuits before, but they were a real treat!

In short: Tough race especially after recent rain. Good work by organisers
In full: If like me you mainly do road running this is a tough race. Peat on moors was wet after recent rain making these parts of the race tricky and energy sapping. There were some steep climbs. There is also some beautiful scenery and I can understand why off-roaders love it. The organisers placed plenty of markers, so I didn't need the map. Great tea, soup @ cakes at the end, but showers might be nice (could the school be used?).
