In short: Great fun, a mud bath. Fantastic support from marshalls and runners alike
In full: My first off rd marathon (only 2nd marathon) and really loved it. Hilly but not frighteningly so. Nearly got scared off and opted for half but I am so glad I did the full.

In short: Amazing race, super hard but worth all the effort.
In full: Fantastic value for money, good organisation,
good tea and toast at begining and stew, bread and cakes at finnish. Well planned water stops with snacks provided. One of the hardest off road marathons in the UK, give it a go if you think your fit enough, you wont regret it.

In short: As a relative novice to fell/trail runs and marathons alike i feel drawn to this event every year
In full: This year is the second time in successive years that i have run this race and only my second ever marathon! It is the most challenging event i have ever entered and definitely the most enjoyable. I introduced two of my friends to the Yorkshireman this year and they too fell in love with it. With a mixture of beautiful scenery, unpredictable weather and under foot conditions this is an event not to be missed by anybody who feels up to the challenge.
