In full: My 1st ever road race, felt very comfortable...well until someone told me it was soooo hilly! Was very satisfying to know it was so tough and do pretty well afterwards. As I say it was very hilly but scenic in parts and freindly. Tons of water stations (Which after just completing another 10k race this weekend with only 1 water stop at 7km) I can tell you it is very welcome. Loved it.

In short: Tough but fun. Nice goody bag and Tee shirt
In full: While we were out running did someone move the Leisure Centre from the bottom to the top of the hill because it didn't feel as though we ran down as far as we ran up!!!A great hard course. Thanks to all the marshalls and spectators for all their shouts of encouragement.......they were needed!!

In full: My home town race but first time entrant. Ran the route twice in training so new what to expect. Garmin clocked it at 6.6 miles. Long way off. did anyone else have this problem. Critical that your pacing is on the money or it will be all over very soon. Lots of walkers after the immense hill sections Be back next year though.

In short: Hot and Hilly
In full: The hilliest race outside the Andes. Friendly and well organised but you've really got to work for your goody bag.

In short: Tough but rewarding.
In full: My second Hermitage 10k and more enjoyable than last time. It is not a PB course; it’s probably a tough as you get, steep hills for the first 4.5k and a few more to come in the next 5.5k. Mainly downhill from 8k onwards although the finish straight seemed to go on forever and I’m sure it was slightly uphill! Well organised and very friendly. Great scenery also, something to take your mind off the pain. I would recommend it to all types of runners but if you are new to running it is a real baptism of fire!

In short: Water by Lidl, course design by Marquis de Sade!
In full: Killer hills esp the last one from about 4-4.5k! Add the heat and the wind and you've got just about the most challenging race in the Midlands. Couldn't run as fast downhill as I wanted as they were so steep but this is a real challenge. If you can run here you can run anywhere.

In short: The hardest 10k I've done
In full: Very hilly, well organised with 2 water stations and a few people dotted around handing out extra water! Last year I swore I wouldnt do it again but I came back! It is better second time when you know what to expect so dont go off too hard!

In short: A challenging course, particularly on such a warm day. Excellent organisation. The marshalls, spectators and other runners were very supportive. I'll be back next year to try to improve my time.

In short: A great race. Brilliant marshalling. This should really be a LRRL race.
