In short: Hot, hilly but good fun
In full: This was my first marathon, and my training runs suggested sub-4hrs was possible if things went well.

In the end a very hot day and a course with hills in hard places meant that I was just happy to cross the line after 4h23, and a PB is still a PB :)

Would like do it again, would definitely train more, would hope for cooler weather.

In short: Great race, organisation was superb.
In full: My first mara but didn't do anything to put me off. Parking was a little worrying as none was available when we turned up (early as told to) but plenty of street parking was available.

Plenty of toilets at the start to allow you to "blow off" excess pre race filling. Marshalling was perfection all the way round the course.

The hills were small but sometimes steep (especially at mile 17). Water stations were numerous and the sponge thing worked really well.

Locals obviously happily support the race as so many turned out.

The finish was well managed with nice commentary.

The medal though was carp.

Will do again... (did I just say that?)

In short: Hot, hilly and outstandingly organised - THANKYOU NF People!
In full: Brilliant race, can't fault organisation (though some try like the shouty man at the pre race toilets moaning about the queues??? What were you on?).
Great location for a marathon and really liked the change up between road and forest, though this along with a few gradients detracts from true PB potential that you might get on a city course. Marshalling was superb, locals excellent (especially the kid with the jelly babies at 20 miles - what a start!) and its always a bonus when they read you name out on the tannoy at the end!
Enjoyed this alot will be back in the future as there aren't many better autumn locations and I doubt much better organisation. Thankyou to all involved for producing a really great running race for runners...

In short: Very enjoyable race, great marshalls and support.
In full: My third NF marathon, each time I've had a challenge for my own reasons. I will remember it best for running in the same race as friends - one who was doing her first marathon and one who was doing her 100th! I will be back again, hopefully.
Only one complaint - didn't see as many ponies this year as last! :-)

In short: Hot, tough and challenging.
In full: This is the second year in a row for me and I will be back next year as well. Well organised, the marshals where friendly and the support was good. This is a bit of a hilly course, but worth doing and does have PB potential. The facilities at the start and finish where good. This is a bit of a no frills race but for me it ticks all the boxes for a good one.

In short: Tough course, undulating. Well organised but the traffic is a put off!
In full: The scenary is beautiful, the organisation was good, loads of drink stations. However, i found it a bit misleading (when i booked) claiming the race to be flat, is actually a very undulating course, apart from the first 5 miles (which were flat) the rest is up and down. The other put off, is running alongside the traffic, i found it to be very risky and dangerous, for this main reason i would not do it again.
