In short: A great reason for being a runner. Wonderful!
In full: One of the best races I've ever been in. Well organised. Lots of encouragement around the course. Magnificent scenery. A worthy challenge and a great sense of fulfilment at the end. Well done to all concerned. See you next year.

In short: Saw lots of Hogweeds, yes it was a half marathon & boy was it hilly!
In full: A big thanks to everyone who helped putting on this event - TOP class event. The scenery was so nice it took your thoughts away from the hills & that is saying something. Great event & roll on next year.

In short: Simply the best half marathon, do this race and you'll be back for more.
In full: Everything about this race is first class. The organisation, marshalling, support and post race food can't be beaten. The course is tough but the glorious scenery more than compensates for the tired legs. Maybe next year I'll be able to run all the way up Kilcott Hill (in my dreams)!

In short: Challenging course compensated by atmosphere and friendly organisation
In full: This was my first running of the Hilly Half after hearing many good reports. Yes it's tough, but it's also a fair course. Comparatively small field makes it very friendly, with supportive marshalls all the way around. Reasonable support for rural half marathon - held on very quiet lanes. A great antidote to many larger events where the runner comes second.

In short: Excellent, but hills would put off 1st timers.
In full: The hills, particularly Kilcott were hard but you can gain some speed going down, I was extremely surprised to set a new PB.
The organisers and everyone else were very friendly and welcoming.
