In short: all your hill training and speed sessions in one go!
In full: a very undulating ( that's polite for hilly!)course with both ups and downs of equal severity with a total of about 55 metres climb and descent on each circuit of 5k (that's 180 feet in 3 miles). Being a two lap race you know what's coming the second time around though as I live on the course there is not too much novelty about it. Field about 800+ and of all abilities with plenty of encouragement for the slower ones at the finish. Weather has always been good for the race and Harrogate at that time of year looks very attractive and is a good day out with plenty of parks, pubs and restaurants nearby.
