In full: Its not as good as the old course.Bit of a tight squeeze getting through the gate after exciting the school. The narrow footpath due to roadworks slow runners down. Its a quick course but there are some climbs here and there. I enjoyed the final mile. Nice goody bag and medal and well supported and marshalled by garden city joggers. In short: Well organised 10 miler that's well worth doing In full: It's the second time I've done this run - enjoyed it both times. Very helpful at Race HQ, and a good sense of cameraderie among the runners. It's a very quick course, the lack of wonderful views is really not a problem, and I'm sure I'll be back again in the future. Date of review: September 13, 2009

In short: Fast, friendly and expertly organised In full: First time I’ve run this race and I was genuinely impressed by the warmth and enthusiasm of the marshals and organisers. What the race lacks in scenery it more than makes up for in every other regard. I’ll definitely be back next year. Date of review: September 8, 2009

In short: Brilliantly organised run, excellent facilities and nice flat course In full: I haven't done an organised 10 mile for ages, so I was glad I joined up for this event. The facilities at the school were excellent and everybody there was really helfpul. With ideal weather conditions and a course that was perfect for a "fast" time, I managed to knock a whole 4 minutes off my recorded personal best for this distance, just goes to show that anything is possible! Big thanks to all the marshalls, who were very encouraging and to the gentleman who showed me the shortcut to the train station. Big thanks to Welwyn Garden City runners too. Overall a very enjoyable morning and I would recommend this to anyone and I'll be back again next time. Date of review: September 7, 2009

In short: Very well organised In full: Yes the scenery is dull, but GC Runners have this race very well organised and marshalled. Four water stations, yes I know its laps, so it makes it easier, but still very welcome. All the marshalls are very encouraging and this race is also spectator friendly. 3rd year of running this and will certainly be back next year. Date of review: September 7, 2009

In short: Well-organised, flattish run round the Garden City. In full: So it's not the most scenic route ever, but police and local councils do not necessarily let us run races wherever we want. The route is virtually traffic-free, mostly on cycle paths, which more than makes up for the lack of beautiful vistas. Plenty of spectator opportunities. A bag full of goodies at the end. A good morning out. Thank you Garden City Runners. Date of review: September 6, 2009

In short: The race organistion was great! Atmosphere good too. In full: Apart from the scenery en route...and the bottleneck at the gate just after the start, there's not much you say against this race. Superbly organised by the Garden City Runners, it's always on my race calendar. See you next year! Date of review: September 6, 2009
