In short: A no-nonsense PB course In full: A great race to enter for a PB attempt. Cool weather, flat and fast course, nice organisation, well-marshalled, good facilities and......a P.B. 38m 35s in my case but the first time I've achieved under 40 m in 20 attempts! (Mind you, I lost nearly a stone to get my time down so it wasn't just the course!!!) Date of review: December 4, 2005

In short: Nice atmosphere and well organised. Nice club feeling to it but lots of beginners there as well. Stange that in a 10k race the distance was marked in miles! Date of review: December 4, 2005

In short: Flat, fast and friendly In full: A great little 10K this one. The course is completely flat and this year there was hardly a breath of wind. The conditions (combined with some new shoes - thank you Athlete's Feet!) helped me to a new PB of 47:54.
The organisation was good with plenty of marshalls and one water stop. The start was spoiled slightly by some charmless abuse dished out by an 'ASBO Granny' who was in a rush to get to the local tip. No doubt to dump the body of her lodger or maybe to root through the skips looking for something nicer to wear and maybe a bit of old bone to boil up for lunch. But we were soon away from her.
I'll definitely do this race again - nice work! Date of review: December 4, 2005
