In short: Cracking, challenging run
In full: Great run this, next time though I WILL heed the advice to take it extremely easy at the start. By the time I'd reached the 'top' (about halfway) I was almost too goosed to enjoy the downhill. My only complaint would be fact that the bottle of Black Sheep handed to me at the end still had the top on!

In short: Doesn't get much better than this.
In full: Love this race. Has to be one of the best races on the calender by a long shot. Superb course, stunning scenery, faultless organisation (big thanks to all involved), very friendly, bottle of beer for finishing and delicious cakes and tea in the church hall after. Can't ask for much else. See you next year!!

In short: Welcoming race. Nasty hill,
In full: A friendly, well organised race. I'n not sure 'undulating' did the hills justice, but all the effort paid off with the 3 mile downhill at the end.

In short: Challenging well organised race - great views..
In full: Well done to Julian and Macc Harriers for organising this race especially for a very good cause i.e. East Cheshire Hospice. Quite hard work after the first mile but all downhill and flat after 4 miles. Cracking views on reaching the top of the climb and then on the way back.. Enjoyed the beer once I got home..

In short: A Fell Runner's Road Race!
In full: Atmosphere very similar to fell races (relaxed, welcoming);
Start could've done without the bus turning(!) and few stray cars blocking the way;
Uphill not as bad as I was expecting, managed to run all the way!;
Glorious views of Shutlingsloe, Macc Forest, Tegg's Nose, reservoirs etc;
Bottle of beer at finish was a nice touch;
Will deffo do this again :y:

In short: Well Done Macc Harriers
In full: Loved coming back home and running on home turf. Suffered a slight strain to my quad but still managed to finish. Thanks to all the Marshalls and spectors that came out in the rain and cold. Loved the beer at the end! Defo be back next year.

In short: Great race again this year, and definitely seemed easier knowing what I was letting myself in for, and knowing the fantastic views from the top! The change to the start for this year through me a bit, but great to finish sooner than expected! a

In short: Fantastic race as always (despite new start)
In full: This is one of my two favourite races on the calender. Brilliant event as always, although I'm sure that hill has got steeper since last year. Great improvement in moving the finish off the muddy field. However, this necessitaed moving the start and as much as I hate to critise one of my favourite races the start was a farce. It was far too narrow, parked cars, cars and buses still trying to get through. Only clocked the new route as 6.90 miles on my Garmin also, have to check what the old route measured and whether it has shrunk! Despite the moan, everything else about this event epitomises why I love running. Thanks Macc Harriers and see you next year!!

In full: Fantastic race, hills very tough though, but survived to live the tale, and smiled all the way down!!! Definately will do again, especially for the beer at the end and the well organised teas and cakes!!! Thank you :)
