In short: wet, muddy, windy and a lot of puddles. But I loved it! (specially the melt wine afterwards)

In short: Pretty challenging, asp. in the wet!
In full: Not a PB race, a good tester for a 10K, a few inclines and gravel paths. A good challenge.

In short: Very wet, muddy and the "slight incline" was steep!
In full: This was my first 10k. I had a pacemaker fitted in June this year. This was my big challenge and it was a real challenge. To run up and down that hill twice was mentally tough however all the marshalls encouraged you all the way around and despite some terrible weather I am totally hooked. The other runners made me feel really welcome and I am already entering other 10k's. Great run and there are some flat bits to catch your breath after the hill.

In short: almost a x country, tough climb, muddy, challenging.
In full: lashing rain and strong wind coupled with the mountain climb made it not one for the faint hearted.
I like this race as it's so different to a normal road race. Nobody could expect a PB here if you're looking for that stick to flat roads.

In short: Challenging circuit that would be tough on a nice day, add a bit of wind and rain into the mix and you've got a fun event !

In short: Ignore the rain, mud, 3 inch puddles and gales and you'll be fine, right up until the hill. Then you'll wonder why you do it.

In short: Friendly, well organised, with lots of encouraging stewards to keep you going
In full: Done this run a few times. It's always been great before Christmas and there's a festive atmosphere. Today was wild, wet, and windy and made my friend and I realise how bad it must be for those RNLI men out at sea. Everything is well organised but the chocolate though hot leaves a lot to be desired( sorry !)- could you change the brand for next year please?

In short: wet and muddy!
In full: I love coming back to this run every year - the course is varied and challenging, especially the steep climb up the hill and then back down again - twice! The atmosphere is still fun, despite a minor downpour during the run. Nice to have the mulled wine at the end again. The countdown to Christmas has begun!
