In short: There is a hill - a BIG hill - around the 7-8 mile mark. You will go up it twice if going for full marathon! (Adjust your pace accordingly!)

In short: mistakenly assumed that the course was reasonably flat, if there is a flat section longer than 50 metres I will eat my shorts. Soul destroying finish where you have to run past the finish line and then double back to it

In short: 2004 runner - yes definately spoilt by the heat which the organisers could not control
In full: This was a good event but as with all marathons when you run along side half marathon runners, the first half is torment knowing that there is the option to quit at 13.1 miles!! I felt that an earlier start would have helped the heat problem definately. 9.00 a.m. usually cooler than 1.00p.m. on a warm day.

In short: Actually 2004
In full: A well organised race. Course hilly/undulating in places. Main problem was the heat, which the organisers can't control. However, the 1 pm start is a major negative
