In short: Beautiful course. Well organised. Great value. Pity I couldn't run faster.
In full: Nice local feel. Not that many runners (around 100) so you're on your own for long periods. The sun was hotter than you would expect although plently of water stations and marshall encouragement. I could have done with a couple more hgels and an outboard. Would do another, contrary to my Steve Redgrave-esque "shoot me if I ever sign up for that one again" chat at the end.

In short: Well organised early autumn half
In full: Well organised, plenty of water stations, pretty flat course with little traffic, and lots of marshals. Seems to be run by particularly friendly runners ! Hot again this year, but that isn't really the organisers fault !!!Marathon also starts an hour and a half before the half and 10k so if you are towards the back of that there will still be others around when you finish.

In short: Fantastic race
In full: Really well organised with loads of water stations and I love the bag! A bit sparse near the back but friendly marshalls. A great course if you're going for a pb.

In short: Great race for a first-time half marathon
In full: An excellent choice for my first half marathon. Fantastic organization, and a mainly flat course. The scenery was glorious; rural and coastal views all the way, although I felt very envious of the lucky people sitting outside the pub in Lossie having a pint as we ran past. Lots of water stops, which was much needed on a very hot day. All the runners who passed me (heeee!) were very supportive, as were the marshalls.

The only things I would have changed would be to get a tee shirt instead of the (very nice) kit bag, and to have some sort of directional signs to the start of the race from the main road.

In short: A great race in glorious countryside
In full: My first marathon , and boy was it a mental battle for me but the plentiful water stops the patient and freindly marshalls and the piper at the start as well as the great finishers medal made the day really special for me !!!! Next year a defo on my race calendar !!!!

In short: Excellent race
In full: Definately doing it again next year. The route was great, organization brilliant. Plenty of water stations along the way. Bit disapointed that we had a shoe bag instead of a t-shirt.

In short: Excellent organisation and very scenic route
In full: Although I personally had a dreadful run for various reasons, the race organisation was second to none with friendly marshalls guiding you around the rural route and water stations every 2 miles or so.
A lovely medal and shoe bag at the end although I'm not sure about the sticky doughnut, unwrapped, at the bottoom of a carrier bag!
There were plenty of places for spectators to catch up with the runners along the route and the park setting ensured the kids were entertained during and after my run.
Will definitely put one of these races on my calendar for next year.
